#isicWW hashtags are systematically defined for each economic activity as classified in ISIC, the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities, Rev.4.

There are hashtags at two levels, for industry sections and classes.

Industry section hashtags

An industry section hashtag has the structure #ww88A, with the last character the alphabetic section code A, B, C, … until U, as summarized in the tweet below.

In country specific industry section hashtags the ww is replaced by the two character ISO code of the country as illustrated in below tweet for Tanzania with TZ as country code:

Industry class hashtags

There is an industry class hashtag for each of the 429 classes in the ISIC classification. They have the form #isicnnnn, where nnnn is the ISIC class number of the industry class. If you are not sure whether or not a topic belongs to a sector class, then check the Detailed structure and explanatory notes of ISIC, the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities, Rev.4.

The "worldwide" industry class hashtags are listed at this Actor Atlas page with versions in nine other languages.

Per country a distinct hashtag is constructed for each economic class by adding the country code. This is illustrated for Section B - Mining and quarrying in Tanzania:

Similar hashtags are constructed for most countries as explained at Country hashtags and also illustrated for:
